Climbing Mount Ararat (Armenian: Արարատ; Turkish: Ağrı Dağı) is the highest peak in Turkey, Turkish Kurdistan, with 5,137 m, located in the eastern part of the country, Anatolia region, very close to the border with Iran and Armenia. It is an inactive volcano whose summit is covered with perpetual snow.

Climbing Mount Ararat does not present great technical demands, but it does require good physical preparation, which is why it is very suitable for beginners in high altitude climbing. For the Christian religion, Mount Ararat is the place where the "Noah's Ark" was deposited, after the Great Flood. On some of its slopes, supposed remains of the Ark have been found. At its base, some Kurdish villages allow us to see the traditional nomadic life of this culture.
